Walking Strong Gala 2019 raises over $350,000 – a total of $1,000,000 in 5 years!

The 2019 Annual “Night Of Strength” Gala was the most successful to date.  With over 350 attendees, silent and live auctions, incredible food and a powerhouse performance by NBC’s “The Voice” finalist Keisha Renee.  The silent and live auction featured priceless and sought after items, such as Guest passes for Coachella,  a weekend in New York City with  Knicks floor tickets, Signed Kobe Bryant and artist charcoal rendering, San Francisco weekend away, Pelican Hill bungalow weekend, signed LeBron James and Kobe Bryant jersey, and a special painting done by 23-year-old  renowned artist Nicholas Kontaxis, who suffers from Epilepsy and sells his paintings all over the world etc.  The highlight of the evening was the Pillar of Strength Award given to 18-year-old Elijah Stacy, who suffers from Duchenne, along with his younger brother Kai, who started his own foundation, “Destroy Duchenne” (www.destroyduchenne.com) when his middle brother Max, passed away last year from Duchenne.  The guests were moved by his speech and a powerful performance by Keisha Renee.  The evening culminated with casino, dancing, specialty cocktails and dessert.
